Why we SLIP on ICE ??

                                          REGELNATION

when we walk on ice some heat is created between ice and our shoes because of friction, and due to this heat the upper layer of ice melts and forms the thin layer of water between ice and shoes, which makes us slip. so this mean we don't slip on ice, we slip on the layer of water which we have created while walking due to friction.

you might be having a question if ice melts to water when we walk. so, if many people walk together will ice melt completely.

here's the interesting part come we we walk on ice due to friction the small amount of ice melts and creates a thin layer of water, but as we walk through the water freeze again hence ice remains in frozen state and this phenomenon is called REGELNATION
